By downloading, installing, or using BeatDrill, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
The app
BeatDrill is a rhythm-practice app for iPhone. It plays a written rhythm, records your sung, scatted, or tapped response, and scores the timing of that response. It is a practice tool, not a graded instructional program, and it does not evaluate musical pitch, tone, or performance quality — only timing.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BeatDrill on Apple devices you own or control, for your own practice, subject to Apple’s standard licensed-application end user license agreement and these Terms. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its content.
In-app purchases
BeatDrill offers one in-app purchase: BeatDrill Pro, a one-time, non-consumable unlock for the Intermediate and Advanced exercise catalog, currently priced at $4.99. This is a single purchase, not a subscription — there is no recurring charge. All payment processing, receipts, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s own terms and refund policies; we do not process payments or issue refunds directly.
Your recordings
Any audio you record within BeatDrill belongs to you. It is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You are solely responsible for what you record and for managing (including deleting) that content on your device.
Acceptable use
Use BeatDrill only for its intended purpose — personal rhythm practice. Don’t attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the app’s purchase mechanism or scoring engine.
No warranty
BeatDrill is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that scoring will be error-free, that the app will be uninterrupted, or that it is fit for any particular purpose, including formal music instruction or assessment.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, BeatDrill.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date above.
